Job Title: Coach

Reports to: Service Manager

Department: Service

You’re central to your students’ learning. Through providing a nurturing, fun, and interactive learning environment and building relationships with students, you have a unique opportunity to change their personal and professional futures. 

As coach you’ll provide a personalized educational experience that is supportive, effective, and engaging. Your main objective is to ensure that students learn effectively, progress through their course, and reach their personal goals. Each student will need varying levels of support, approaches, and teaching techniques to maximize their learning. In this role you will be required to adapt to and anticipate their needs and inspire them to succeed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Includes the Following

  • Driving student progress by providing ongoing support, coaching, and feedback.
  • Developing strong relationships with students that are built on trust.
  • Promoting the Wall Street English method and an all-English environment in creative ways. 
  • Keeping up to date and informed of student progress to provide appropriate support.
  • Being aware of students’ expressed and unexpressed needs and being able to respond with the right supportive actions.
  • Ensuring that each person that walks into the center is greeted with a warm and friendly welcome.
  • Managing the Reception area and keeping it organized and tidy.
  • Driving student progress through proactive class booking.
  • Being an ambassador for your center by engaging students and prospects. 
  • Managing all bookings and changes in the most efficient way.

Specific Teaching Duties

  • Leading Welcome Sessions.
  • Providing personalized feedback, coaching, and support through Welcome Sessions and Advising Sessions to ensure students reach their goals.

Specific Reception Duties

  • Receiving visitors in person and on the phone in a timely manner.
  • Managing sales appointments with guidance from the center director.
  • Supporting students by booking classes through various channels.
  • Liaising with service and sales teams to provide feedback on students’ concerns.
  • Celebrating students’ learning milestones and success in-center and online.

Technical Skills and Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • University degree
  • Understanding of or experience within teaching or training.
  • Computer literate
  • Background within service/hospitality/educational sector. 
  • Fluent in local language(s). 
  • A high level of spoken and written English.

Nice to Have

  • Time spent in an English-speaking country.
  • Experience working in a multinational team with different cultures.

Experience and Background

  • Previous teaching or training experience.

The Successful Candidate Will Be Able To 

  • Manage large volumes of people at peak times.
  • Support students in using the Wall Street English method to successfully acquire English. 
  • Be an ambassador for learning with Wall Street English.
  • Engage with students and personalize their learning experience.
  • Work with a diverse team (religion, ethnicity, culture, beliefs).
